Learn How Microneedling Skin Therapy can enhance your look
Enhance the appearance and beauty of your skin with Microneedling.
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is also known as collagen induction therapy (CIT), dry needling, skin needling or percutaneous collagen induction (PCI). The basic idea behind microneedling is to stimulate the production of new collagen. It improves skin’s healthiness in so many ways. It is great for skin issues like acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, loose skin, enlarged pore size, stretch marks, skin texture and pigmentation spots.
How does it work?
Collagen is a protein that gives our skin its structure and works like netting to hold skin cells together. Unfortunately, as we age our collagen production decreases as well. As the tiny needle punctures the skin, it creates a micro-wound. The skin then heals itself naturally and almost immediately by producing new collagen.
Does microneedling hurt?
A topical anesthetic may or may not be applied to numb the treatment area so the procedure should not be painful. We recommend not using topical anesthetic to achieve the best results, however that depends on the individual’s pain tolerance. The patients comfort is our priority, so it will always be your choice.
